Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care within the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), supporting complex procedures including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, aortic dissections, and thoracic surgeries.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during open heart surgeries and advanced chest procedures.
• Maintain compliance with facility standards and respond promptly during on-call periods, with 30-minute response time mandatory.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of ECMO, LVAD, and Impella devices to assist during high-acuity cardiovascular surgeries.
• Adhere strictly to scheduling requirements, including a 4x10 hour day shift rotation (7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.), and demonstrate zero tolerance for tardiness and unexcused absences.
  
  

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Current RN licensure with proven CVOR nursing experience focusing on open heart and cardiothoracic procedures.
• Prior exposure to robotic-assisted thoracic surgeries preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with ECMO, LVAD, and Impella device management essential.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to fast-paced surgical environments.
• First-time travel nurses are not eligible unless possessing specialized open heart or CVOR experience.

• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m.
